Diversity at Merkur – Final Part : Our Merkurian Women

On this International Women’s Rights Day, Merkur wishes to highlight the significant and essential impact that our Merkurian women have on the company.  

Diversity and inclusion are core principles at Merkur. In this final article on the subject, we take this opportunity to portray the women who contribute to the success of our company. 

The field of engineering has traditionally been male-dominated, and we are proud to value the significant contributions of women at Merkur. We actively support them in achieving their ambitions. Strong, creative, and inspiring, our Merkurian women bring a unique color to our company.  

We continuously aim to highlight their achievements, support them, and enable them to showcase their skills, not only to enhance the company but also the field of engineering. It is very important for us to stand by them to fight against inequalities compared to men and honor their necessary contributions.

– Represent 29% of our employees 

– Accumulate 433 years in the workforce 

– Accumulate 73 years of tenure at Merkur 

– Are present in 7 departments, including 1 that is composed entirely of women 

– Lead 4 departments 

– Hold degrees in engineering (industrial, mechanical, automated production, electrical, computer science, mechatronics), accounting, law, software quality, marketing, administration, fashion merchandising, human resources, tourism, programming, mathematics, and office management. 

– Are represented across various age groups: 

  •   20 to 29 years – 26% 
  •   30 to 39 years – 49% 
  •   40 to 49 years – 18% 
  •   50 years and older – 7%
