What you will accomplish in this role :
- Develop and simulate algorithms in Matlab/Simulink format to produce control solutions used in electromechanical environments;
- Design software interfaces using a standardized methodology and ensure their constant improvement;
- Draw up specifications to support calls for tender to suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment;
- Collaborate with design, production, purchasing, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering teams, as well as suppliers, in the various stages of the product development process;
- Contribute to future orientations concerning high-level software layer development and validation strategies.
Essential skills sought :
- Degree in electrical, software or robotics engineering;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development;
- Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN) and associated protocols (an asset);
- Ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles;
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects;
- Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink embedded programming;
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- You are mobile, so you can travel and work on a regular basis at our customers’ sites across Quebec, depending on your opportunities and your personal life;
- You are bilingual (French / English) – fluency in English is required for our international customers and our Quebec customers with international projects.
