What you will achieve in this role :
- Produce and update basic and medium-voltage electrical schematics for electrification projects;
- Support the development and supervision of colleagues in the department;
- Develop concepts in line with specification requirements (performance, quality, costs, lead times);
- Prepare the documentation required for production start-up (BOM, drawings, specifications) ;
- Build and maintain the design file, including calculations, tests, verifications, validations, costs and approvals;
- Participate in design reviews;
- Verify and approve new concepts;
- Share knowledge and experience to develop the team’s collective knowledge;
- Maintain a constant technology watch.
Essential skills sought :
- You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering;
- You have at least 7 years’ experience in product development;
- You are a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (confirmed);
- You have experience in product development and systems integration;
- You have experience in electrical harness design (an asset) ;
- You have knowledge of 12V and multiplexed distribution (an asset);
- You are comfortable with electrical design software;
- You are bilingual (French / English) – fluency in English is required for our international customers and our Quebec customers with international projects.
