Electronic design engineer

What you’ll be doing in this role: 

  • Create electronic products and circuits, including analog, digital, and microcontroller-based solutions; 
  • Determine and justify various electronic architectures; 
  • Select electronic and electromechanical components; 
  • Design electrical schematics and printed circuit boards using CAD software; 
  • Evaluate design and production costs for product submissions; 
  • Develop test procedures for product qualification and production; 
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and communicate with suppliers; 
  • Collaborate on various projects to improve existing products; 
  • Maintain technological awareness. 

The minimum qualifications you should have: 

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada; 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field; 
  • Experience in designing printed circuit boards; 
  • Proficiency in programming microcontrollers in C; 
  • Mastery of communication protocols between different peripherals or modules (UART, SPI, CAN BUS, etc.); 
  • Experience with PCB design software (Altium, KiCad, etc.); 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of precision; 
  • Resourceful and autonomous; 
  • Creative problem-solving skills; 
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
