We’re offering you a great opportunity to contribute to our development as an Mechanical designer (tools and equipments), working on precision tooling or equipment projects for our renowned customers.
What you will do in this role :
Participate in the analysis of customer requirements;
Model and design equipment, tooling and/or jigs;
Test technological solutions, materials and manufacturing processes;
Validate manufacturing concepts by designing prototyping equipment;
Analyze and propose optimizations and continuous improvements to our customers’ production methods and procedures;
Work closely with our customers’ teams to develop effective long-term solutions.
Minimum qualifications:
You have a completed DEC in industrial or mechanical engineering;
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment;
You are proficient in one or more 3D design software programs;
You have knowledge of factory bottleneck estimation/simulation (e.g. FlexSim software);
You have a sound knowledge of geometric and dimensional tolerancing and the concept of balancing and sequencing manufacturing operations;
You are detail-oriented, self-reliant and rigorous;
You are mobile and able to travel to our customers’ sites (Grand Montréal).
