What you’ll be doing:
– Collect data from customers and analyze requirements;
– Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and specifications to determine the location of industrial electrical equipment at our customers’ sites;
– Prepare quotations and specifications and source new suppliers;
– Check, revise and seal final calculations and drawings. Ensure designs are feasible, validate data and other information;
– Makes recommendations on component selection, researches alternative sources and quotes suppliers;
– Research approaches and alternatives to design or engineering problems;
– Performs project management, whether electrical or on various aspects of the building services department;
– Write technical reports.
The minimum qualifications we require :
– You have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
– You have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position;
– You have experience in low, medium and high voltage;
– You are familiar with the Quebec electrical building code;
– You are familiar with 2D and 3D drawing software;
– You are bilingual (French/English) – fluency in English is required for our international customers and our Quebec customers with international projects;
– You are mobile and able to travel to customer sites as needed (Greater Montreal);
– You are a self-starter with a strong sense of analysis and rigor;
– You have excellent teamwork skills;
– You stand out for the quality of your communications.
